I finally flipped!
I broke my heel riding back on June 1st and just got back on the skis at the end of July. I kept pushing myself and getting closer. I started with spin flips and built up being comfortable hitting my own setup wake. That was the game changer. I kept hitting my setup wake and “nosed” in a ton. All I needed was a real wake.
I rounded up friends with boats and cameras on Saturday and despite the dreary weather we made it happen! The morning of I found I had lost both front gas tank mounts and had to think up something fast.
A ratchet strap and flip flop made it happen.
I didn't think my macgyver rig would last so first jump I went for it. Landed it and was hooked! I had to have done 30+ flips off single and v wakes that day. I can't explain how great it feels! Next goal is to get my buddies to nail one off the boat wake!
After watching all the videos I have and looking at my form or really lack of, I can't wait to hit that wake again with some speed, look back, and really let it rip!
