two stroke PWC sales in NY?

A friend of mine told me that a local dealer said NYS banned the sale of two stroke PWC's starting this year, 2006, modelled after the California laws.

Anyone know if this is true or myth?

If true, what a crock... all they are doing is hurting local dealers as serious buyers will buy them from dealers in PA or other surrounding states.

I'm quite certain of that. That biotch has done nothing good for this state since she's been in office.

Actually, I called another dealer and they confirmed that they are no longer permitted to sell new 2 strokes in NYS.
