Think you have to cut the hood liner out.

Yep. You have to trim the back and side lip near the hood seal, and cut the hood liner.

good to know, probably going to use one in my fx1 build, I think the crazy power in the tiny hull would be a fun combo. Is the hoodliner plastic on these?
