Hi guys.
Has anyone used a Type 4/9 dry pipe on a DASA billet engine, if yes - what did you/they do for bracket?
im asking cus im waiting for a PFP pipe, and meanwhile bought a type 9 pipe, that might use (otherwise i will go with a b pipe) but would like the power from the dry pipe.
Its going on a DASA 850 SS billet engine.
Happy Easter!

Were on the engine, will you mount the bracket? And would you use the original holes in the pipe or weld new eyes on it, to mount it to?

I read we may have to elongate the holes to elign it perfect (aka so its not going to blow Orings/Couplers), I'm not going to know untill I get the DASA cylinder. If weldings involved, I'm just going to bite it and swing for a PFP.

shouldnt be too much involved in making one,I made one for my r&d dry pipe i had to weld the bracket on the chamber but the type 4/9 already has the tabs on the chamber.as long as a head bolt isn't in line with one of the mounts on the chamber.
I used 1/2 aluminum cut out the shape i wanted.i transferred the head bolt pattern over to the bracket and drilled them,if you have a drill press and a vice i used a endmill and recessed the bolt holes about half the thickness of the aluminum so that the nut or bolt depending what you used was flush when tight, just made for a cleaner look.you will have to use washers or make shims under each bolt so when tightening it down it pulls evenly on the head.after its mounted and chamber is on transfer the mounting holes to the bracket and drill and tap them.measure the distance between the bracket and the bottomside of the pipe mount you can look under msc or mc mastercarr for vibration mounts to fit.would be a good idea to pick you mount before taping the bracket so you know what tread pitch to tap it at.
hopefully that will help.mine was an ada head but same procedure should work
