Other Type what type of stainless is this

so this is random but what kind so stainless steel are the yami driveshafts? I'm a farrier who likes making knives and happen to have stripped a shaft or two over the years...

17-4 PH, The hardness is around 42 HRC.

Do you know if it can go above 44rc? From what i can gather from google, thats as hard as 17-4 gets. Precipitation hardened seems much simpler than heat treatment for most other SS.

Hardness obviously isnt ideal but for my first blade in stainless im happy. Takes hair off like nothing but i doubt that will last long.
