Other Ultrasonic cleaning solutions

I recently saw a build thread with some carbs that were mentioned to be "fresh out of the ultrasonic cleaner", yet can't find the thread. I'm curious what cleaning solutions are used to bring al out shiny. Most of the strong ones react if there is any zinc in the Al alloy and darken the color, or turn it black. The ones I saw looked great, but I forgot to post while I was looking at the thread.
Any ideas?

we have one in the shop at school and we use Simple Green. works great!

What ratio do you mix at, and how big is your tank?

I run my cleaner with simple green as well. 50/50 mix

Question for you guys with the ultrasonic parts washers. Would these work well to clean dirty engine cases. I get some in with burnt dirt and oil on them that are impossible to clean. Do you think a Ultrasonic washer would get them clean.
