Paint did the same thing on mine when i bought it. That's what they do from the factory. I took the hood and had it painted. It wasn't like that when he bought it from you.

paint will come off eventually once you start riding and doing stuff with the ski, all our skis are somewhat beat up..

haven't heard from him since i told him about the known quirks SJ's have like the paint,mounts and others.
buyer was pretty cool and hope he enjoys it nevertheless.
