That will be a cool project. I almost got tagged by a superjet stuck wide open with no rider on it after the pole broke and yanked all the tether wires out and the throttle cable! If I would have turned without looking first it would have t-boned me on my x-2 it was not porpoising either haha.

MY JS550 went fast enough when the throttle cable got pinched...

Fast enought to crush the front of the ski against a dock, and smash the handlepole and the hood.

She ran fast and straight. no porposing about it.

She ran like a suicide bomber late for an appointment in hell....

lol been there, seen it happen, too.

update....
i was at the local hobby shop getting some stuff for my planes (a brick wall jumped up infront of one of them) when me and the guy behind the counter started talking about boats which lead into my little idea here, he suggested a few different servos and radio options. my main problem is going to be counter acting the force of the water flowing through the pump. i hadn't even considered this untill someone pointed this out at the rock and ride. im still keeping my eyes open for a cheep 550 with out a title that runs halfway decently. finances are a little stretched at the moment with the wedding plans but i should be able to get started this winter on a few proofs of concept.

I fly quite a bit, myself. yeah, brick walls suck. and trees, highline wires, surprise crosswinds and having to land deadstick, radio glitches, and force-accepted interferences, etc..
