yeah, i love the govt push to require higher alcohol content and in turn we get less mpg that drives the requirement to (re-tune/ de-tune) vehicles to get better mileage on the new gas.. wtf?

The 30% richening (lower energy content) would also mean that a 3 gallon tank is now effectively a 2 gallon tank. No thanks.

Plus added corrosion and expensive glycol or castor oil. Setups should probably be developed for the big spenders but then they would want methanol and nitro.

Works great on forced induction cars, figured it wouldn't get bad but i dont really know. The 30% extra fuel would suck for sure.

This is all a total thread jack but if your thinking E85 you might as well go with methanol. Youll burn roughly 40 - 60% more then gas, but we buy it 5 55gal drums at a time and we get it for 125 per drum. Thats somewhere around 2.25 a gallon and you can run BIG compression numbers with methanol. And honestly its not any worse on seals and rubber then E85. Dont get me wrong youll need a big fuel tank and constant carb maintenance but you can make serious power......

Who do you buy methanol at $ 125 per 55 gallon drum?

constant carb maintanance? if it not any worse on rubbers then why? what all would need maintained?

Methanol isnt much if any worse then E85. They are both very much worse on everything then straight 93 gas. The carbs would need to be removed and cleaned regularly as the methanol draws moisture out of everything and will leave a nasty sometimes thick milky residue . Also dont expect the rubber parts of the carbs to last even a whole season..... but did i mention you could make big power lol

I get drums of VP methanol delivered for 125 each (must buy 5 for delivery). My friend is a VP dealer......

I ran E85 with Klotz supertechniplate in a 750sx went up approx. 33% on jetting(burnin 33% more fuel) plus internals stayed very clean, but I also had the large fuel tank. You have to change to alky safe needle and also run carbs clean after ride and squeeze fill em with marvel oil.

Back to the topic. What did you find out about the gauges Brian?

Oh Andrew freakin accidentally let his Mac wipe out my gopro sd!
