A little late with the update but I did finally get it running! (about 2 weeks ago) I ended up putting in a good, used stator and flywheel that looked about a million times better than what I had. I rebuilt the carbs just to make sure. I replaced the coil because I couldn't get new ends as soon as I wanted to. In the process of testing everything I must have fried my starter solenoid somehow so I had to replace that as well. The good news is that it is finally running! Thanks for everyone's advice/help!
