Upgrading the KDX to DVX specs => KVX :)

So my ski got primer and will end up in Matte Black, so this is pretty much what it will look like
Then flouresent red or Flouresent yellow graphics to go

So we sanded the primer with grit 400 and my buddy sprayed the final paint. Looks stealth and bad

Picked up the hull early this morning. All i can say is my buddy knocked it out of the park.
I cannot wait to get it build and teste ride it! Hope to get graphics in a few weeks time, as my buddy who does graphics is on vacation

Nice work bro, cant wait to see finished product and get ride report.
I thought the DVX Top deck was moved forward as well as the holds, I thought I remembered measuring bottom ride surface as the same? I have had a KDX ridden many DVX's, for 100% flatwater the change is well worth your efforts. Very nice work.
Have you ridden the Helium? Crazy changes there, quite wide, I am sure with more time than I have on one it would be awesome.

@KawiKid The color code is RAL 9005-GL (Tiefschwarz or jetblack)
@sjetrider thanks Nope only the footholds moved forward on DVX. I measured the KDX bottom piece (ride plate section) to be only 1.5cm shorter (to 1" claimed on XS site)
No unfortunately (or luckily) i haven't tried a Helium yet. Seems that some like it, and some like the DVX Will deff. give a ride report ASAP

Its a single stage 2K light weight lol got black primer before the color.

I cannot believe you are that good at finish / body work to make a Flat black look $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ on this thing. that had to be an incredible amount of time in sanding, filling repeat.

Well all credit to my buddy Jakob, who did the filling, and main sanding ( i helped a tiny bit with small parts) but he derivers all credit.
He is extremely skilled. Also did a airbrush "blowsion" inspired paint job on my first Superjet:



He also did a pretty slick paint job on he's own superjet:

hey, what size beach tires are you and your buddy using on your carts? I know a lot of the cart sellers use an 18" of a 21" "balloon/sand" tire for actual beach/sand use. I got a set of 20's on the cheap and took it for a test run on the beach WITHOUT the ski, and it seemed a little difficult.. the sand was basically powder though, so that could have been the issue..
I didn't think going from 21" to 20" would've made that big of a difference when people are getting away with 18" on some beaches.

@KawiKid i have Zero cart now, I think they were 20" on my old cart they are 18" on Zero with balloon tires.
Some progress in assembly, along with new MSD TL IP68 enclosure.

Thannks @air blair way to many hours to count in this "mod" rebuild lol! Dont think my girlfriend is too happy with the amount of hours spent on it
I got the ski together last night, so i "just" need to turf it, thats planned for tomorrow - sunday, then hopefully testride monday

Sooo, the turf job did screw me a bit of a curve ball, lol. Didn't remember how much time and sweet it was to do a custom freestyle turf job
But 8 hours later it came out pretty nice, with a few headaches and a thing or two that could have been better
Anyway soon wateriest, can't wait!
Hopefully in a few weeks i can get graphics done too
