I wanted to ship a 267 lbs. 1995 Yamaha FX1 stand up jet ski from MN to California.

The seller has been perfect. He got a 10' pallet and cut the pallet down to the length of the jet ski and wrapped it and strapped it. And was willing to take it anywhere near him to facilitate getting the ski to me.

I posted it on uship but got no offers.

Raised my uship offer from $315 to $425 and still got no offers.

And then came here for suggestions.

I have edited the thread's title and this post to cut to the chase.

Yami-Rider was correct. Use YRC.com to ship. Like iQRTurbo said, YRC is a LTL (i.e., "Less than Truck Load") carrier.

YRC quoted me three prices ranging from $151 to $189 for the seller to drop it off at the YRC terminal in MN and for me to pick it up at the YRC terminal in Sacramento.

I went with $189 because for that price YRC guaranteed to get the ski to the Sacramento terminal by Friday, Aug 30 with a drop off date at the YRC MN terminal of Monday, Aug 26.

Outstanding.

Thanks Yami-Rider !!!

Contact TCBX LTL Trucking based in Brainerd MN. They have transported several standup skis in and out of MN for me. They won’t handle it the entire way but will have a partner LTL company finish the job. Ask to speak with PJ(Patrick Junior)

I've used uship many times, but their rates have gone up and so less shippers are using them. I used YRC on the last shipment, super nice people, super smooth, fast shipping OK to Cali and it was dirt cheap.
