Other using 271 loctite on motor assembly

green loctite is for press fit bearings ftw, or atleast thats what my bottle says.

correct green 609 is for this porpose and as far as red goes there are a few different ones 271 and 277 for bolts larger then 1" if memory serves me

As long as you can heat the bolt or nut with a small propane torch hardware with red loctite can be easily removed. Anywhere else I use the blue stuff or anti seize.

I don't use ANY TYPE of Loctite on my engine, that stuff is a death sentence! As a matter of fact I do just the opposite, I use Antiseize on just about everything. On the few areas I don't use anti sieze, I use 1211.

Red Loctite is a MF'er to break loose! I used that on my dual pole bolts to keep the nuts from backing off. It worked like a charm but was holy hell getting them off. I'd use thread sealant on all my engine builds and antisieze on the stuff I take off regularly.

Again depends on which red your talking about. I have used red 271 on mine and they still loosen off..
