Value of a 1995 FX1

Haven't seen the ski in person yet. It had a factory pipe on it, but he sold it so it currently has no exhaust on it. Had a x-metal pole on it with steering, but he sold that also. No pole/steering/exhaust basically. Has a ADA head, blackjack 44 carb, msd cdi, stock pump w/solas impeller - he's unsure of pitch. Has a new hood seal and steering cable, blowsion tubbies, cold fusion pole bracket, cold fusion e-box bracket, foot strap, and 185 psi compression.

What's a fair price for it the way it is? fx1.png

That's the problem, he said "he's accepting offers right now, honestly not sure on the price"

I offered him $1500 for it sight unseen, I thought that was fair. Told me he'd get back to me.

I would pick it up for $1500 as well, still a good deal considering condition even after you add a pole and pipe.

clean FX1s complete and running are going for about $2500. I've seen them for more , but I don't think they are worth having. everybody I know or knew that has or had an FX1 either sold it or never rides it anymore. they are a middle rung in the jetski ladder. better than a 550 but you are probably going to want to move up the ladder above the FX1 to a superjet, which means a wasted step. i'm sure all the FX1 fans have smoke coming out their ears right now. LOL it might be an okay ski if you are just a rec rider, but i'd bet money you wont keep it. I don't see it being worth $1500 with all the parts and labor it needs now.

Mr. Buzzard , so all your friends etc. sold or never ride their fx1`s anymore. More like ye all didn`t have the patience/talent to learn how to ride a fine machine like it , and moved up your "ladder" to a far easier ski to skipper... I own both and will only take out my Superjet when my FX1 is in the shop. No comparision when you know how to ride both skis properly....:cool::cool:
