Yes, he raced a sit down. Saw him about 15 years ago at a IJSBA Budweiser tour stop. Happened to have one of his CDs with me , he signed it for me.

Very cool, if you listen to the whole thing, it sounds like he had a big party one night, overdosed and his jet ski buddys came to the rescue next morning. Now I understand how Iceman got him to do the AD for Eropean Champioship. Vanila must be still around the venue. I will be on a lookout for him at Havasu

I remember him at a race at Holiday Isle in Islamorada. He had an air conditioned trailer on site, and drove up in a white Lamborghini that ended up parked on the sand volleyball courts... he was kind of hard to miss. This was back during the old Busch World Cup days. I'd say probably around 92 or 93 maybe?

I think he only raced one year (93?). I too heard at the time that he was unpopular on the course. Did not watch him race however because whenever the runabout class was on the line I would head to the Budweiser encampment.

I was at that tour stop here in San Diego. I do remember people cheering for him, but I wasn't one of them
That tour stop was the same one where the B1's throttle got stuck, hit a stand up parked on the beach and got airborne, flew over the crowd and took out the ESPN tower with cameraman standing on top (2 stories high) The tower fell, everyone scattered all over the place and in the confusion someone took off with the big money ESPN camera. I think the only injury with the ESPN cameraman broke his arm or leg, can't remember.
I've been told that stolen network quality cameras are sought after because they can be sold on the black market to shoot porn.

Have you guys ever seen Vanilla Ice riding a MX bike? He's pretty good. I saw him at a Suzuki track day in Florida on a RM250, dude was tearing it up!
