Super Jet Versiplug-R Dimensions & Fit

I want to replace the generic drain plugs I have under my Superjet's tray with versiplug-r drains because no matter what I do, there is always about two cups of water that drain after every ride from each plug.

My concern is fit. I emailed PWC Doctor twice asking for dimensions of the R model Versiplug but he has not responded. Can anyone help me out with some overall dimensions on the versiplug-r? I'll be looking to squeeze them under the exhaust and engine compartment drain.

Chris the owner of PWC Doctor just moved so I'm not sure if he has his internet up in his new place. Call Hot Products and they should be able to give you the specs you need or call Chris at PWC Doctor

The versiplug R is attached with 3 screws that match the Kawi style drain plugs. The only option I see for Yamaha is the standard versiplug that just threads into the Yamaha drain plug. We have lost a couple in our group from them unthreading themselves so I usually recommend the Versiplug R. I had one on my Matrix and it worked great.

If you can wait till tonight, I can get you dimensions on the Kawi one. I'm assuming you want to know if the R will cover up all or any of the existing holes?

Here's a pic of the Versiplug R for a general idea of size.

It sure looks the same but, if it was, don't you think they would advertise it that way and capture a whole new market?

It at least shares the same configuration and would be worth looking into. I bet the screws are spaced just enough that it won't direct fit in place of the OEM but it would be easy enough to fill the current holes with some epoxy and just drill new ones.

Yup! I'm wondering if I'll be able to cover up, or use in part the existing hole when I remove the old two screw drain flanges and replace with the three screw Versiplug-R. I'll likely just epoxy close the two tiny holes made from the fastening screws in doing so.

My other concern is whether the versiplug-r will fit height wise under the exhaust on the right and Versiplug-Max on the left. I would like to try to fit the Type-R as far down into the splines as possible, so height and width is I suppose what I am after.

Yes sorry I was mistaken my setup is a waveblaster drain plug setup, with a versiplug installed. I don't have to worry about it unthreading as my ride plate extends just past it

I don't believe that this is an oem yamaha plug to start with so the comparison may be moot. The screws are 1 5/8" center to center.

The Kawi drain plug footprint is identical to the Versiplug R and it hits right on the edge of both screw holes. If you filled them with epoxy or even just some silicone, they would be half covered up.

Awesome! Thanks OCD, this is exactly what I am looking for. Going in for a purchase now. Cheers again.
