Mines a couple years old now and not showing anything like that so I wonder if it had a defect in the annodizing.

Wow thats pretty crazy. I assume you run a sealed battery? Was thinking maybe some battery acid-spillage may have stripped off some of the coating.

i'd call up the versiplug guys and show them. Maybe you just got a bad one?
Definately something up to corrode that quickly. Do you also always flush bilge out?
I am really meticulous when it comes to cleaning the ski. I was also surprised to find this. This drain is the drain for my tray. I run a drain plug on one side and the Versi on the other side. I got these from you few months ago. I painted the other one ill see if it last longer or just a bad batch??

Something is wrong....I ride salt mostly and mine looks great....and going on 3 years now. Something ate that up or it was a defective batch.

It's a Rn. The side walls of the tray are carbon reinforced/no foam.
Carbon can be highly corrosive. If no luck from versiplug, will hook you up...

Ive had my two versiplug max's in for almost a year in salt and haven't seen that and my ski is carbon reinforced
