Surfriding Very expensive first time surf trip....Because Now I am hooked!

Lovetheriver Welcome to the REAL addiction! Now that you've tasted the surf, and BEFORE you start your build, I would highly recommend that you come up and ride with us in Oceanside this Saturday. The most surf riders of any day (and biggest varity of skis) always show up on Saturdays so you can check out everyones setup and possibly find some one elses ski that you like and would want to model your build after. Meet everyone at the Oceanside launch ramp at 7am this Saturday

Thanks so much, I was actually out there last Sunday and was very impressed with the turn out. I can't do this Saturday but you can count on me being out there on the first. That is great advice though and will definitely take a look at the other skis before I start.

What's up AJ? It was good riding with you and your bro. hopefully next time Chris and I wont break down, lol. He found a new handle pole and I ordered a new msd cdi. We're gonna try for this sunday but it depends on when are parts get here. Thanks again for the tow! hopefully we'll ride with you guys soon.

Anytime...Lets just hope it's not Every time! Thanks again though glad to hear you guys are going to be up and running here soon. We leave for Hawaii tomorrow until next Wednesday and my brother and I are both kinda bummed because we want to stay here and ride again. We will probably head out again on the first.

They usually don't ride on sundays at o-side. Some guys do while others don't. I talked to john "227" before I reenforced my hull and It tired out really well. He has a bunch of tips and tricks.'

Check out some build threads. I made one if you want to look into it. it shows that I did and gets pretty descriptive.

Also, full carbon enforcement is expensive and more difficult to work with. Maybe just an outer layer or carbon for visual appeal...?

Yeah i will be out there this weekend but on my blaster, I am currently putting footholds in the fx1 as well as other necessary items....I told you it was an expensive first trip.

If you are glassing use a digital scale to mix your ratios right. Don't trust the pumps.

We didn't use any footholds that you can buy. Way cheaper to make it yourself by carving up some 2part urethane foam. Made a ffh too. I like uscomposites.

epoxy is not nearly this critical and the pumps work just fine.
