Other Video Editing Software...what do you use/prefer?

So there is my quick question of the night, what is everybody using to edit their action cam videos? I just bought a Sony Action Cam tonight and can't wait to start recording some ski videos, but having never needed video editing software before I figure I should ask. My preference is open source, I try to buy as little software as necessary since I rarely put it to use for long before finding an open source alternative that I end up liking more...but you gotta start somewhere.

Yes, you can add audio to Windows Movie Maker. And it's free! It doesn't do too many fancy things, but I don't need it to. If I need fancy things, I can play with Sony Vegas.

Cyberlink does make some good software. I had powerdvd with an old burner and loved it. I agree about finding anything free but I prefer the non-free, "free" edition if I go for that particular name =)

I use iMovie maker on ipad it's easier for me on there but I can't slow the videos down! Some people on the videos as they do the trick they slo mo it then return to normal speed is there a good ipad app I can do this on ? From a gopro?
if not whats a good one for windows ?

;) I am aware of this trial version software you speak of. But I think it is best for everyone to know that it be used with caution if you were to go that route. There is a lot of temptation there and it would not be good in the end if what you wanted fell into that category.

There are also educational versions, totally legit. I don't waste time on software that is less than best. Just finished a walkthru animation @ 1080HD almost 3 min (lots of frames to render), new design for a fast food chain. AE makes things very easy, similar to PS. Besides max plugins, youtube tutorials for every aspect!

So how do I edit gopro with Win7 movie maker? Anything free to splice the clips? I don't need to make movies. I'm just looking to cut them down to save file size.

That's one of the best....A little more than editing software, and GoPro's, to get that look.

Whenever you have pretty girls, your video becomes much more pro.
