Its like anything else in life you do it a couple of times it gets easier...you do it 4 or 5 times and it does not seem bad....if your ski dies you can float all the way back to the ramps...it won't be pretty and you had better be a great swimmer and be able to hold your breath.

The guy who needed rescued collided with another rider and he was wearing no helmet. At first he said he would never go back and then he realized it was human error.

One thing is FOR SURE...you can die...you can lose your ski...and you MUST go over every single nut and bolt before riding it...and then say a little prayer too...lol.

The first time I saw someone skydive I was like F that...the first time I jumped I was like F this...the 10th time I was like OK...the 140th time (my last) I was like YAWN!

Now these are the first set of rapids after the falls. We (myself, Paul, Korn, a few others..rode up to the whirlpool once...kinda on accident because no one would turn the F around!!) have ridden up to them but NO WAY are they ride-able!!

I should add I didn't mean to say I get bored easily....I just meant skydiving got boring....but as I have stated in other threads I still get totally stoked riding overheads on Lake Erie or in the ocean.....every time is like the first time....that is how you know you LOVE something I guess...

Niagara is still so intense that I am stoked and nervous for the weeks leading up to a planned trip....let alone riding it!

I get that feeling jumping dirt bikes too but the injury factor is just so high that I have skipped it for a lot of years...

I really wanna plan a coast trip next year. Id love to hit some ocean waves. Kansas wind gave us some monsters this year but Kansas wind can only do so much

I love devils hole! I can't wait to go back. 3 times a year or summer is boring! First time I went up I needed a new wetsuit, or atlease a good cleaning haha. Once you do it , its not so bad. Such a rush. I can't wait to ride it summer 2013. Everyone I have ridden with has fallen atleast once down there.... its not so bad.

You definitely have to be ready for it...in every sense of the word...riding ability, ski, panic control, crew....

I think if you do anything like that you have to be aware no one is responsible for you other than yourself and the crew you are with.

I thought it was illegal once you hit the whirl pool rapids, devils hole is not illegal from what ive seen. Its just that ugly left hand turn up the river after the whirl pool that is illegal and from there up to the falls.

I agree not to take anyone that is not ready of course...but to act like it is not ride-able is silly.

And as far as I know no one has ever posted about a trip here or anywhere...until after it is over...
