Rode one of these the other day. My favorite hull of all time. This thing rips...super light, flingable and easy to ride....and you can actually ride it FAST, even in chop or waves. LOVE IT.
Is this a -4 or standard?? Everyone in CLE who has rode this ski has loved it.We used a RN AC pole and extended it 3 inches. Perfect length for us. Also Foamed the tray

I wouldn't go with the -4. That standard length is a perfect surf hull. Best riding hull I've been on so far.
Still need to ride a Matrix and a new Rickter. ....but as of now, nothing comes close.
I haven't had the chance to ride a full length one but I love my -4 in the surf. I can't imagine that I would want to give it up for a full length one. I even bought an extended ride plate thinking I'd want to use it when I ride surf. The extended plate has been hanging on the wall in the garage all summer. I actually like it best with the flush cut plate.
pics and price?I've got one I'd sell

There's a difference between the -4 vision and -4 matrix compared to these short freestyle hulls you've listedEven if you never have plans on doing a back flip? I ride waves and chop (and like to go fast, basically full throttle everywhere). I Rode it again today. LOVE that hull. Every shorter hull I've ridden I hate. I have zero interest in doing flatwater rolls or backflips of any kind. I want to ride and slash waves very fast, do huge rolls, stabs and re-entries.
I've been on a:
Footrocket
Several Brawlers
Several Different Freaks
KDX
DVX
Several Rickters
Several B.O.Bs
Q8
Q8Sky
Stunt
...and I haven't liked any of them as much as my Trinity. They are ALL too small for the type of riding I do. I HATE flatwater. My Trinity EVO -2 is just a little too big to throw around in the air for as fast as I am riding in the waves. This Vision is PERFECT for what I do.
