so what do you think my blue fuel lines are made of? i really thought they where tygon.

Taken from the pages of Fast Flow Fuel Lines website which has spun off the original fuellines.biz site.

The High Octane Line is a polyblend with additives to repel fuels, solvents, race gas and oils.

Some interesting reading from the old fuellines.biz homepage; http://www.fuellines.biz/default.aspx

FuelLines.biz is no longer in business due to the quality of the fuel lines not meeting our high quality standards due to colors fading. Due to a split in the company, Marty has decided to pull out and not continue to sell a product that he would not use on any of his own watercraft.

You can still obtain these exact same fuel lines through www.fastflowfuellines.com (Dave's new website) and Dave will warranty any defective fuel lines as Dave stated on an open forum on www.pwctoday.com.

Below are the statements that were made by Dave on pwctoday.com in regards to his guarantee:

■"I will offer 100% refund of product cost and shipping for anyone that has any problem with my lines!!! (what the heck I will go 110% of money spent)"

■ "I just bumped it to from 110% to 150% of the price you paid with shipping. That means if you are unhappy with the line for any reason, just call me and I will refund your money + 50% more."

■ "Anyone out there with any problems, email me: davids@FastFlowFuelLines.com or call me: 262-498-9409"

Please contact Dave at the above information or through the website links above for any problems related to any purchase made through FuelLines.biz or FastFlowFuelLines.com

So, since most of us were under the impression that we were already buying "Colored" Tygon fuel lines and having them fail, we are back to the drawing board.

The good news is, Tygon is possibly worth a shot again and Viton will not likely be necessary.

I will be working out some details today and placing an order for Tygon primer and fuel lines. Probably start with enough to do up to 6 skis and go from there.
Price will be around $2.75/ft for 1/4" and $1.10/ft for the primer so roughly $40 to do a ski complete with OEM fuel line routing.

I recently bought 50' of the clearish/yellow 3/16 tygon from mcmaster carr for one reason-Crammit has had it on both of his skis for 5 years now and ALL he runs is VP MS109 which is a highly oxygenated fuel via alcohol and his lines are still like the day he installed them.

The 3/16 was a bitch to get on all the fittings, but once it's on, it ain't slipping off! This stuff is soooooo much more flexible than anything else I have ever seen. I also ordered the 1/8" primer line and it does need zipties to secure it properly-IMO.

Just found another source of high quality Tygon line but I may have to buy 2000ft to get on board though. Pretty sure this is where OEM is getting theirs from.

I will have the option to put my name on it though. How OCD is that?

3/16 ID tygon 1.25 per ft. or 1.05 per ft with 50' or more. 1/4" ID 1.42 and 1.19 for 50' or more
1/8" .78 or .64 for 50' or more.

I have also found 3/16 works best for fuel. Easy to slide on with a quick spray of windex on the nipple.

BTW-not dissing the idea of viton fuel line, I just don't know anything about it at all. The only reason I went the way I did is personal experience had by Crammit and I had 3 skis that needed all new fuel and primer line.

I was only looking at Viton because I thought the colored lines we were buying were Tygon and not worth a damn and was looking for the next best thing. Seems a good quality Tygon is still more than adequate, just have to find a good source.

FYI, Viton priced out at $10.83/ft and would be overkill for most our applications.

Tygon is good and will work, but you need to be OCD about checking the certs of the Tygon and checking the chemical properties of it. If you look into it, Tygon is like saying beer. There are many types and flavors, some good some bad
