I was just pointing out that Jesse's post was deleted. You don't have to quote anyone to prove anything to me. I think you have done a good job with the Tech section, as well---although I don't refer to it much myself.

Everyone is so bitchy around here lately and bannings and deleted posts/threads are becoming the norm. I wish this wasn't the case.

You are not the only one...............................

I just wish people would look down at that button they push when they want to submit their post and just read it for just one small second. if they would, we would not have any problems....... but noooooooooooo, everybody has to get in their word, the last word, ram their opinions down everybodys throats...etc etc.......

Gotta give the  to Michael950 on the tech section..... seems like a thankless job but that definitely isn't the case. There's much good info in there and he's always quick to add threads to the list when they are deserving. :arms:

As for articles, great if someone is detail orientated and doesn't mind taking the time to do them. But don't feel too compelled to do it just b/c some people are lazy, let them search or get hazed by SFL. :skull2:

Another idea might be after a given posted thread qualifies as informational would be to go back and alter the titles or add a list of keywords to help with the search..... :dunno: just seems that the search feature is sometimes useless when you're not 100% sure what keywords to search on and you get numerous irrevelent posts in return when searched.... that makes starting a new thread easier then reading pages of posts to find what you're looking for.

To assist with this, all posts in the FAQ have titles with key words so they are hit when searched.

On another note, If you want people to use the search button more effectively, get rid of the 10 second delay before searches.

My $.02

I wasn't aware that was limited...

Yeah, 10 seconds is actually pretty short compared to a lot of sites I frequent that have it at 30.

Searches take up a lot of processor time compared to viewing threads/etc, so they are an easy way for a denial of service attack.
