x2 on the vp round jugs.
plenty big for 5 gal and oil mixed in

I've had mine for at least 7 years... and it came with a quad I bought... so that guy had it for a while too

The actual round VP jugs are the best in my opinion. They hold 5.5 gallons + oil just fine. The vent cap never needs to be open more than a turn or so - open them too much and they will drip, if you just crack them, they never spill a drop.

I don't like the square cans because they usually have a snap style vent cap and they only hold 5 gallons max.

FWIW, the square VP brand jugs hold over 5 gallons and have the same vent as the round jugs.

No kidding; havn't seen him here in a while.

For anyone who hasn't handled a VP jug they have a finger pocket at the bottom rear for easier lifting too.

I was also wondering about color. I wanted to go with Red to look semi-legit if I was ever harassed by the PoPo for having an un-approved container. I ended up going with White since I figured you can see the fuel level/color easier. Are other colors anywhere near as transparent as the White jugs?

As long as you got sunlight, my red one is easily seen thru

I like those two handled jugs also, the finger pocket on the bottom of the VP helps but isn't as good as a handle. I 've thought of upgrading to those except the problem with the two handles is that they put the handles on the corner of the jug instead of the center. That means that if you have a trailer with a square can fuel rack you can't slide the locking bar through the handles which kind of defeats the purpose of using the big utility cans.
