wamiltons flywheel or total loss?

The Wamiltons flywheel for the superjet jet is 2.0 lbs. I think that is the lightest aftermarket flywheel I have seen. Anyways do you think it would be a big enough performance gain to just get the wamiltons charging flywheel or is there really that much more power to gain from getting a total loss?

From what I have heard the total loss is a pain in the ass you have to pull the battery and charge it every ride or so. For me I want the perfomance with the reliablility. So I would go with the aluminum flywheel. Wamiltons is TBM? Jetinetics is another good aftermarket flywheel company. another option is turning your flywheel in a lathe and taking all the unnecessary weight off of it.

#1 you do not have to pull your battery to charge it.
#2 there is no comparison TL stomps a 2 pound flywheel in several aspects.
#3 TL can be reliable if you do your research and set it up properly.

Go total loss !! awesome power but the AM fly is still good too

TL is the way to go. you have to charge it but you dont have to take the battery out of the ski. a quick tend is easy enough to keep up with. and the performance is totally worth it.

i dont know much about them but my friend derrick has a TL and he says he has to replace the electronic part like every few months because it keeps burning out

I got an old, used analog TL setup last year. I went from a total stock setup to TL, pipe, head, prop. The TL made a dramatic change in performance and was bullet proof reliable all season. I was and still am a newb around here and figuring out the install was not too difficult. The hardest part was asking the right questions. I can't think of one question that I asked along the way that someone, and usually multiple someones, didn't answer within a few hours. Charging the batt is not a big deal. Just put some quick disconnects on the cables or leave the batt in the ski and disconnect the inline fuse to the brain and you can charge it in the ski. Get a TL if you can, you'll be happy you did.
