Sucks, but bob/hurricane has never been know for very good fit and finish. Atleast it's not falling apart yet. Very few hulls are near perfect, the ones that are, you have to spend 7k+ for and sometimes they still have issues.

I think the paint is kinda bs, but my new ski has paint issues and cost much more. Just the nature of the nitch market sport, it's not right, but just how it is.

I can't stand riding a superjet anymore, like riding on a heavy boat lol. It's to long for the tricks I like to do, and not near nimble enough. Funny how I used to love riding my sj.

I would say the price point is an issue. But he just raised his standard c2 price to 5500.

Another local competitor has a standard fiberglass, turfed, metal shoe installed and ready to go (just like my ski minus the shoe) for $4500. And I've seen some of his skis in person and they look really nice. Inside and out.

Sucks man. Always been a $hit company in my mind. Had a friend buy a brand new Carbon BOB in 2012 or 2013 and it was f ucking junk. Water leaked in everywhere, bond line wasn't glued properly, list goes on and on. Needless to say he now owns a super freak and ditched that bob quick. Pretty sure ski clinic took care of the ordeal, suck that the owner is a douche bag in your situation. Now I have another reason to never do business with them. Ski bum makes better hulls....

I just don't know why anybody would continue to buy something from a supplier that has a known problem. When was the last time you heard of a leaky Rickter, krash, dvx, super freak, ect ect ect. How many bad bobS backie Chans, "inexpensive" skis have you heard of wig quality issues. With wdk being the exception you get what you pay for. And I've seen a crappy wdk bottom first hand. There excuse was a disgruntled employee and they offerd to take care of it and made it right.

So I looked on the forums and asked around before hand. But nobody was saying a thing. Until I bought one. Then people started to whisper to me stuff, and then I started poking around and found more people. More issues. More people. And now we're here...

Which is why I wanted to show everyone what I was sold. To educate everybody in the facts of hurricane.

I looked at another hull that was made in the exact same run as mine and he has some of the same gelcoat issues. But he doesn't care too much and just wants to shred.

Agreed. And another reason why I'm not going aftermarket for a long time. Happy with the SJ. If I go aftermarket it Will only be a Rickter or another top dollar hull. So much junk and people getting screwed in this hobby it's ridiculous

I was floored how much my buddy paid for his rickter at the world finals a couple years ago. The hydroturf installed was garbage, but the hull itself is outstanding. 2yrs later and its still perfect looking.

when my bob started cracking after 10 barrel rlls i contacted them , they were very unhelpful and arrogant , said would send me instructions on how to reinforce it ,bit late after , the fibreglass on my hull wasnt even full of resin , bad business , bad workmanship ........

Did you by chance take any pics?

Like father like son. Never thought a grown man who's ran a business for longer than I've been alive would post a meme.... But I guess there's no hope in this situation.

If this isn't allowed please let me know.

Oh and I'll just throw this out there, in my conversation with dk Jr. I asked if he would either refund me and take the ski back, or give me some of my money back and he said no. That he couldn't afford it because he barely makes any money off of these. And also said that "i don't care if you go on the Internet and complain"

Well here it is on the Internet exposing them for what they are. I just feel bad for every other hurricane owner like myself.

I think you will enjoy it once everything gets sorted out. We have several guys in our group that have C2/C3 hulls and they really enjoy them! I'm glad you exposed the bad service you received, I'm sure it happens more than we know and people just stay quiet about it..

Just slap some carbon all over the thing and build it. They have a history of sucking. Build it and huck a flip then sell it to some idiot at the beach for lots of money and buy a legit hull. Obviously your dream ski isn't a remold bob so handle your business
