Hello, i have a yamaha waveraider 701 and was curious if i can do anything to it & get some more speed. I am new to all of this also.

I also have the head shaved, and run 100 octane aviation fuel. Pump and everything else is pretty much stock. Runs like a champ just want some ideas on anything else i can do. I knw its a 701 so don't expect much

Prop, pipe, raise compression,intake grate, and ride plate. You gain 10mph just by buying a raider 1100 though...

I built a 94 raider(lightest of raider hulls) with 61x 701 and stock exhaust that hauled arse.
Start at the top and work your way down.
-Remove one of the 3 screens from the flame arrestors. Free
-Upgrade the impeller 50-250$
-Upgrade the ride plate 50-100$
-dry out the pipe free
-msd enhancer 290$
-Boyesen dual stage reeds 100$
-buy yamanubes porting template and port the cylinders 25$
-Or buy a waveraider 1100 or kawasaki zxi 1100 for 12-1500$

Never upgrade an old sit down. It is a waste of money. You could sell it and get a waveraider 1100.
The hull sucks, so you could sell it and get a 98xl 1200 or a 97-99 gp1200.
If you don't mind powervalves, you can get any year gpr or xlt.
If size doesn't scare you, you can get any 4-stroke ski.
We upgrade superjets because they only came with a 701. There's no other options. Putting parts on a raider is like putting parts on a 4-cylinder mustang. There's a 6-cylinder, 8-cylinder, Boss, Cobra, etc. just go buy the one you want.
