A little teaser of our new engine running. Spending lots of time on the water testing and tuning. It's cold outside!

Engine Weight: 40lbs (Not including starter or TBI)
Power: 120hp Natural Aspirated
Torque: 50ft/lbs @ 3500RPM
Displacement: 600cc (1020cc 4-stroke equivalent)

Rickter hull used for prototype. Fits directly in Superjet hull.

pretty cool. How much does that motor weigh compared to a regular 701? I wanna see some under the hood pics.

I don't see an oil pan on this motor I would like to know how they are keeping parts lubricated. And if they are using oil injection system or are these motors still going to need to bepremixed
 
at what RPM is it putting out that 120hp? is that 50ft lbs of torque, its max torque or is that just at 3500rpm? those are some pretty low revs compaired to what we are running and thats not going to equate into much top speed , without the use of a huge prop/tiny nozzle

I've wanted to work in this for years and glad someone is. My main concerns are engine Rpms and torque with the current pump setup an designs. IMO the rotary is the way to go for an efficient 4 stoke design that we need I just feel pumps and props are going to have to drastically change along with the engine development to be a proficient platform.
