This setup can run very good, but it's a KIT that a pro engine builder will have to assemble. It needs to be ported and requires machining that most people cannot do at home. FWIW just buy a Dasa SS850 or Team Scream ss865/900. You'll spend less in the long run.

Another "CHEAP" option is Art Gomez at BlackJack Performance. He is very proud of what he does with a oem 61X cylinder and for very good reasons! A-it is super cheap and B-the end result is amazing! I have a friend that has a 61X 6 mil built by Art that is dead nuts equal to my 5 mil Lamey. I have more cc's than his 61X and I can't tell much diff at all in the power. Derrick's cylinders cost 100.00, mine cost 1500.00. If you do the math, Derrick is 1400.00 less in his motor and also uses oem style Yamaha wisecos whereas I use Kawi style flat tops that require ALOT of work before you install them.

Are you talking about the ADA cylinder kit? Cuz Watcon BB cylinders (which the OP is asking about) are not "required to be assembled by a pro-engine builder".

And if you are talking about the ADA kit, if you go with the right builder I guarantee you will not spend more money in the long run compared to the DASA or TS. ;) Far less, actually.

Good to know... Will have to ask Art about the details.
