SXR Water Ingestion...... Any Ideas?

I was doing subs last week on my 2008 sxr and It took on a lot of water quick. I have a bilge installed and outerwears over my air filters but it still misfired after one sub. Isnt there a way to block off the intake hole in the front of the hood and move it to the rear of the hood? Is there a writeup of this procedure?

i always make sure my pumps are done pumping before i do my next sub. if you know you just ingested some water make sure you ride for another 20 min or so to burn out all the moisture. as far as the holes in the hood, maybe someone with an sxr will chime in.

Yes. Just throw some duct tape over the front hole (or cover it however you want). Then make a 2nd hole in the back, pretty much like the first one on the other side of the hood......Voila.

Takes about 10 minutes. You will literally take in about 1/3 the amount of water.
