Surfriding Water ingestion !!!!!!!!!

Ate some water got the ski to land and running 15 mins later but was a dog. Had no power. Compression is now 160 in each hole where it was 180 before. Front cyl has no carbon at all and piston looks steam cleaned, rear has carbon build up. No scoring and the pistons move freely. I had 3 tanks thru the motor, dual oem 38s,stock reeds, Ada head. O-rings did not look damaged but I am ordering new. Thoughts ???

Did you put it back in the water and run it or just on the trailer? Make sure all the water is out of the crankcase.

Ran it hard in the water for 10 min hoping it would be ok but it had zero improvement so I stopped to look at it at home and here I am. I can take things apart and put them together but I'm no mechanic.

Why would it lose so much compression in both holes?

Turn it upside down and pull the plus to make sure all the water is out.

if its running wouldnt that mean all the water is out? i unfortunatly am sidelined with an injury so progress might be slow. my big toe is missing half the nail and the skin is all ripped up, unfortunate bicycling accident.

Don't matter which kind once it sits on your bearings and mixes with air for a few days.

id rather have neither of the 2 kinds, it was salt but why would i loose 20 psi so in both cylinders? i am trying to find someone who can ride the ski longer and harder than i can...at the moment.

You lost 20 psi on both cylinders prolly b/c you ingested water and scored the bore/rings.

Pulled head last week one oring had a tiny bubble, replaced them, still no good. Pulled the new plugs i put in at the beach, and had no spark in the front cyl. Swapped them and it followed the plug. Put another plug in and ran perfect. I guess I was just lucky enough to find the one bad NGK in the box.
