Super Jet Water leakin out of coffman sizzler, how to fix?

Ok, I've mentioned this in my other thread about my pisser but I think it deserves its own thread. My sizzler pipe is leaking water from the headpipe where it bolts to the exhaust manifold (above the gasket)

After actually paying attention while I was looking at it, it looks like someone had already hit the area that is leaking w/ a grinder once before (possibly grinding down old weld?) Anyway, here are the pictures.headpipeinside.jpgheadpipe.jpgwaterleaking.jpg

What needs to be done to fix this. Also I don't THINK that the holes on the inside are leaking water (yet?) because that whole area was oil covered, no signs of water there.

Know a good welder?

ya your gonna have to have that ground out real well and welded. cast alum is a prick to weld, so hopfully you get somone who knows what they are doing.

if you just jb weld it, it will stop the water but it might keep cracking and get worse. maybe a used headpipe might be cheaper??? just throwing ideas out there.

I know a guy who does quite a bit of fab work/welding. He has a tig setup so I'd probably take it to him. What about the inside?? Is JB ok or no, if no what should I do? Like I said I don't think the holes on the inside are through the water jacket (yet) because of the lack of water inside the pipe.

The pipe i currently at the guys shop waiting to be welded... He says he can't / won't weld the inside because he's afraid the metal is too porous and he won't be able to clean all the contaminants out of there so the weld possibly won't hold (he said he had that problem before on something he welded :dunno:).
