SX/SXi/SXi Pro Water sensor on ebox

I'm new to Kawasakis. I bought a 750SX in pieces. It was almost sight unseen. I was happy when I showed up and it was a dual carb model. I thought SXi. Then when I was assembling it I realized it had Mikuni carbs. A few other things added up and I confirmed it's actually a 98 SXi PRO.

Anyway, there is a water temp sensor on the ebox. Do I have to use it? Can I just not run any water to it and it will just assume everything is OK? It has a R&D head with 2 outlets. I'm planning to run one outlet out a pisser and run one to the exhaust. I think this will dry out the pipe some but I am worried the water exiting the pipe could be hot enough to anger the overheat sensor.

actually you remove that sensor when using an aftermarket pipe. Just unplug it from the box. It is removable. Cap off the top of the stock pipe if your using the stock pipe. Water route sounds good. I might put a restrictor on the over board pisser if running single cooling. You are actually splitting the water in half by using the 2nd line to the pisser and kawi's run very hot compared to superjets. just my 2c

on my 750, i took the primary head outlet to the pipe (Coffman)
and the other to the ebox and then out the stock pisser
this acts as a restrictor plus uses the ebox to monitor head temp
