water witch bilge switch

Don't want to drill any holes in my ski and don't want to have to worry about switches and extra wiring.Just wondering if anyone has had good luck with the water witch bilge switch.I ride a mint cond. factory X-2 and only like to ride in the surf.

I have one of the switches that mount on the start stop switch on the bar and have been using it for 7-8 years now without issue.

mine lasted 6 months........sometimes you gett a good one, some times a bad one

hey, im getting shocked in the water when i turn my bilge on. when the ski is dry, i dont get shocked. all the wiring is right. any ideas?

im getting shoked by mine too!..............well i guess it has to do with the fact that since my switch went out i just have two wires exposed hovering next to my start/stop switch:dunce:
i like it though...... bust a massive stab, reach over and get shoked....lets you know your alive!:439:

Well at first, I thought I was having muscle spasms...I just kept biting my tongue and dealing with the pain and left my bilge on. I realized that once I turned it off, I wasn't getting shocked anymore.

It's hard to kill one one these style switches. They are made to last in water enviroment.

Send a message to SXIPro on here, he sells them also.

Welcome
i had one of those on my ski... it lasted me from april till about august and took a crap.

salt water and bilge switches dont mix well... i havent gotten one to last long at all.

my next step is to try the handlebar mount one that is sealed. but they go bad too.

I have been using a JSS bilge switch for three years now, in fresh and salt water.
Still kicking.

KR, if you're getting shocked, your positive bilge wires are near a ground somewhere and open (exposed).
Check and double-check all the wiring.

I took a standard switch with a waterproof boot over the lever, wired it up, then coated the casing and wire connections in epoxy. Two years in the salt and zero issues.
