I don't think a stock length SJ can carve decently without tubbies, so IMHO that's more of a factor than a short hull.

I can carve just fine, but my hull has Tubbies II. Since shortening it, I've noticed that the back end likes to slide out sooner than before.
So to truly carve and stay hooked up, I need to put weight on the back more than before.

gotcha.. Its hard to imagine how much those 3 inches will make.. I will have a trim system, so maybe I should just stick with the standard length hull

Again, for me it's not about nose-up position or anything having to do with a trim.
The hull rides different all-around. This isn't something you'll achieve with trim, IMHO.

what about if you get steve to make you a bf hull and also get him to make up you some hull extensions to make it standard lenth so you can change between to lenths
i dont know if this is possible i dont see why not but this is a idea i have been thinking about so i can bolt the hull extensions on in the surf and when the waves are small or no waves un bolt the hull extensions and of you go

sometimes the handling of a shorter hull can be adjusted with different lenght ride plates.

Once you get used to a shorter hull, it is hard to go back to standard lenght.

Yes often thought this myself shouldn't be to hard to do

Whats this high roller?? any info on it?

Main reason I want a aftermarket hull, is because I ride flat water only, and I want the lighter weight. I'm not a big guy, and the lighter weight to me is a big benifit.

he brought it up and was just offering a option to ride

and as far as shortned hulls like your hearing once your use to how they ride its tough to go back.altho even just cuttin weight on the hull alone makes a good bit of difference.

goose, all anyone has to do is look at that 'spectacular' handlepole, that you are actually offering to the public, to see exactly what your "quality" is all about.

stop trying to push your untested 'products' on people.

it just comes off as unprofessional and amateurish.
