I had the pleasure of meeting with Steve of Watercraft Factory today in sunny South Floridas Markham Park.
I thought it would be a good idea to write follow up of my personal impression of the hull. My first impression of the hull is it's a well thought out aftermarket freestyle boat upon viewing in April of this year. I never had the chance to personally ride it until today. The boat has a beautiful yet durable gel coat racing yellow finish complimented well by matching WCF graphics "I'm not sure if they come with the boat or not". It had next to the perfect power plant imaginable with a DASA powered 1000, MSD TL, PF Dry Pipe "sounded amazing", and a magnum pump etc etc
This hull is a great addition to the AM freestyle hulls out there. The motor hit and the pump hooked up. The boat was tuned extremely well and the DASA motor was RIPPING. There was absolutely no complaints in that department. It was nothing short of a great handling boat and extremely stable! At high speeds and hard landings the boat rode great for a -4 inch hull. I love the tray design being wider and the gunnels being lowered. I'm not a big fan of the shark tip hydroturf, I'm going to stick with the original Hydroturf having the best traction. My favorite part was the foot holds are actually lowered to help stability when performing and landing tricks. Your feet are literally parallel to the pump versus on top. This gives the rider a huge stability advantage over most hulls. Unlike most freestyle boats on the market today this boat actually turns! YES IT TURNS! It's has a great balance of traction, looseness, and rocker so your not riding on a bubble. MOST important this is a quality boat I know Steve test and rides his machines before they go to their new homes. The finish, the inserts, and the reinforcement was top notch quality. If you're I'n the market for a new hull this year I would seriously consider the Vision 2.0
Last but not least I have to thank Steve for letting me ride his ski. He was out there with everyone else today shredding it up and throwing rolls. Not only does he build them but he actually rides them. Spread the word the new Vision 2.0 is a U.S built hull that's here to stay.
