Had a little free time this morning and loaded up my hull to be weighed by a friend of mine. He originally was going to use a scale he had in his garage that is similar to a large shipping scale, but when I pulled up he had me drive up behind his new boom truck and weighed it using a Fairbanks set-up. Thought you guys might get a kick out of this photo.
The hull weight came in at 97.1 pounds without hood or nosepiece.
The hull, hood, and nosepiece weighed 113.7 pounds.
Steve thought that it would come in slightly lighter based on his guesstamite (he never had a chance to weigh it) but I am perfectly happy with the results because I know that it is solid, which is what I told him I wanted. When I ordered it, I told him that the weight wasn't as much of a factor for me, that I didn't need a Pancake Pete proof hull, and that I just wanted a solid ski that was lighter than OEM and stronger than OEM.
Thanks again, Steve.
I'll update this thread with a total weight when I have the ski completed---which might be a little while... :sneaky:
