Just the hull with foam and footholds is 60. The hull, hood, "hoodlatch system", ride plate, pole mount, and hood seal together weigh 77 pounds.

I think a dry OEM FX-1 hull weighs 92 pounds with no hood and it needs some serious reinforcement. So, I'm pretty happy at this point.

Is the bottom the same shape as a stock FX or more like a scaled down version of a SJ w/tubbies? (my thought of ideal setup) :dunno:

mine weighed 92 lbs with no hood, and 1 layer of reinforcement glass on the sides...

Cool, so I'm down 30 pounds plus much stronger. FX-1's are notorious for having a weak nose but I think mine will be unbreakable. Of it it breaks, the whole front of the ski will come off with it :bigeyes:
