I wish I had weighed it before and after, but I didn't. I will probably try and get a weight on it as it sits (nothing in the bilge) then a RTR weight (more interested in this one).

Did you look at the pictures? It's a bit late, besides, this foam is nice, it's a lot stronger than I was expecting and is very light. Plus with it layed in the way it is there are small channels for the water to run to the back.

that will work good. that's how matt_e did his. sometimes my computer doesn't load pictures very well, I need a new one : (

what do you think about the inner tube idea? I was thinking to use some that were way too big for the inside, that way you don't have to air them all the way up to get them to fill the cavities, and it won't put outward pressure against the inside of the hull.

Finished the foam installation, glassed the tray back together and modified my REV holds to fit better. Still have to glass the holds in, reinforced the center of the tray and turf. The motor is together just going to do a leakdown test, install the stator, flywheel and intake/carb and drop it in...might even be on the water in June.

Footholds in, reinforced the tray with 3 layers of 12oz biax and 2 layers of 8oz Sglass, should be solid. Assembled the motor and did a leakdown to find my base gasket leaking BAD, pulled it apart and found I had recieved a 701 base gasket instead of a 760 one, pinched the corners between the sleeves and cases. Put a 760 gasket in and it tested perfect, motor is ready to drop in just need to rejet, going to turf this week and maybe be on the water this weekend?

After sourcing a bunch of hardware, gaskets and other miscellaneous items from Jetmaniac (who is THE best source for parts) my motor is in and it runs. I just test fired it but it seems good, need to run a couple fuel lines, close up my exhaust tube and wire my bilge and it should hopefully hit the water tomorrow evening. Looking forward to finally having this ski done, hopefully everything goes smooth tomorrow and it runs like it should....getting excited. I hope I don't miss the 800 to much. For some reason I can't attach all my pics but I will get them up soon.

I finally got this thing tuned in pretty close, took almost the whole weekend to get my jetting close but now its nearly there and I have had a chance to put a couple tanks of gas through it and I really like it. The hull immediately felt comfortable, pretty similar to my superjet hull but feels lighter. It is really slippery with a stock intake grate and D cut plate but thats how I like it, turning is overrated. I am very glad that I refoamed with poly and put in drain plugs because the back of this hull leaks like CRAZY, two hours on the lake will result in probably a gallon of water out of the drain plugs. I can't figure out where the water is coming in so I am going to spray water into the hull with the hose, close off one drain plug, spray soapy water on all through hull fittings and force compressed air into the other drain plug and see if I can find the big leak. Other than that I really like this ski, my homebrew porting feels awesome, besides the 800 it is the most powerfull motor I have had yet, once it is 100% dialed in it should be a nice little ripper.

Still haven't got an RTR weight on this boat but have put about 5 tanks of gas through it and I really like it. It feels light and nimble and jumps easy...forget riding at high speeds on glass though because it walks like no other...I've had two high speed get offs this week. The modded REV holds fit like a glove and now that there isn't a heavy ass 800 motor and 30lbs of water out back it is a totally different ski than the first ride I had. The 760 doesn't quite have the all around power my 800 had but with the home porting job it has killer mid range, I think a new prop would bring the meat of my useable power down a bit but I don't have the coin for that.
It is very nice being able to ride for long periods of time, have a full tank of fuel and not have to worry about the pipe backflushing into my cylinders, overall I am very pleased with this setup. I NEED to get more pics of it on the water...hopefully sometime this year.
