I've got a set on mine. I couldnt really tell the difference. If I was to use sponsons like this in the future I'd probably just get some TBMs or something. The ebay ones are made of flimbsy plastic.

An old sub enclosure building trick is to take nylon rope and soak it in resin and lay it out and it gives structural rigidity. I wonder if I could soak some rope and lay some stripes out on the bottom of my hull kinda like a groovy rideplate but a groovy hull with less grooves.
