Saturday will be the best day, alot of people take off early sunday. Everyone rides out in front of the campground but you will have to launch your ski at the boat ramp, there is no way to launch it from the campground. The ride over isn't as bad as people say.. takes a few minutes if it's calm.

You park at the closest to the steps to the beach.
It's steps to the beach no Kart path .

Way to many steps. 76 steps or so. two or three landings... Lift tickets are $5.00 well worth it if your carrying gas down. Sorry no drink holders.

We will be in the area that weekend and planning to show up with our Yamaha 24' jet boat. Where is the closest launch for this boat? I am guessing this is too big for the Benona twp. park launch...

No idea if I'll have a ski ready by then but I'll still be there and am bringing a few boxes of js and 650sx parts if anybody wants/needs anything for cheap. Just lookin to get this stuff out of my garage.
What's the latest on making this a sponsored event? Haven't heard much from the alumni regarding this. Sure hope this weather warms up a bit. Looking fwd to a great wknd. WAVE RAVE!!!! WAVE RAVE!!! We have some small buoys that we use for a course that we plan on putting out from the steps. That will hopefully keep riders on the correct side while shredding.

This is definitely a sponsored event we will try to have a full run down in the next day or so it has been way more work than I ever thought it would be but it should be a great event. We are getting down to the wire and still have a ton to get finished. For any body with facebook we set up a page that we have been updating somewhat regularly.

I haven't been following the thread much, But I am trying to come out for saturday
and GV football is awesome! My wife got her undergrad and graduate degree from GVSU. I went to Eastern and I really wish GV would just take EMU's spot in the MAC.

Unfortunately I wont have a stand up in time. I should have just keep mine until I had a new one. But with buying a house I needed to pay off some debt. Ill Be there Bringing 3 couches to shred though lol. Next year ill be back on a stand up hopefully.

Thanks man...I report to fall camp this Wednesday and my season begins then. Looking forward to it. Yea eastern is poo poo we smacked them when I was at ball state. What's even more sad is there lack of fan base. It felt like we played in an empty stadium when I played there.

That's cool this is a sponsored event and all. But please lets not forget that the late, great Kevin Bruins was one of the original masterminds and did a lot of the heavy lifting to secure this site in years past. I don't see his name in the title and I think that's kinda weak. With all due respect, lets keep this rager in the spirit in which it started, in the name of love for riding and camaraderie amongst the jetski family.

So is this a huge pain in the ass to launch and park? Don't wanna waste a 4 hr drive to mess around for 2 hrs trying to figure how to unload gas and skis and parking
