waveblaster 1996 vs. 1995 or older

My friend had the 1996 waveblaster with the twin carb, I have a 1993. They both seem the exact same speed. i know the 1996 is supposed to have like 10 more horsepower. it isnt showing though.. Is that normal, or is there something off with his. Both are completly stock and my friend also has a 1994 and its just as fast as the 1996.

Whats the deal with that

it's only 10hp so it won't be too noticeable...

he has dual carbs, so it may be out of tune a bit, but not much if they both are the same speed.

yea, i didnt expect much. But at least a little. Mine beats his off the start and are dead even the whole way. And his just eats gas faster

It's not surprising yours beats his off the line, it's a single carb. The duals should be better for top end.

Properly tuned duals have just as much bottom end as single carb engines, all other things being equal.

I always have more fuel left after long rides than any of the single carb ski's in our group.

Older superjets. I tend to believe my setup is running almost perfect right now, or was until I tried some E10 fuel and developed a slight hesitation.

I seriously think that crap Ethenol is making my ******** run weird. We have 10% added to the fuel now... We didn't have that crap last year

In 96 Yamaha had to keep up with Kawasaki by matching their advertised HP and number of carbs. The 93-95 Blasters ran the same as the 96.
