Another more general question I'm planning on using the stock airbox. But when I rebuilt the carbs I only has 1.5 needle and seat. Motor runs great on top but doesn't idle or start well and blubbers bad coming out of the hole. Do I need to drop the low jets a size?107.5 and 95 highs at 1 turn and the lows are the 75. Popoff was 34 front and rear and 40 in the middle with the silver spring
 
I know this is an older thread but did you do anything to keep the gas tank and motor from rubbing. I set mine up to use the stock midshaft and I didn't have any clearance between the ebox and fuel tank. I'm planning to relocate the motor about 2 inches back with a raider 1100 midshaft. And then use the original fuel tank again. Btw an hx tank works pretty decent.

I made custom 1/4" stainless plates and used 1/4" shorter motor mounts. Then used a gp760 midshaft. It slid the motor back around 3 1/2". Fuel tank fit fine, even used an 1100 waveraider tank which has 3 extra gallons than the stock tank. Also, weight distribution is better.
 
Working on my own conversion, am doing it using the Extreme Throttle adapter plates for putting 1100 in B1. Using the front mounting holes, you can use the stock B2 midshaft, but it rubs the tank. Using the back holes in adapter plate sets the motor back about 1.5 inches. You can get the midshaft to line up by using a Gp760 midshaft and the long midshaft coupler that came with donor Raider. Adding 2 extra thrust washers under this long coupler gets me to a very nice 3mm motor to mishaft gap. No need for custom plates...

Also using the dual Raider water boxes + 3" back outlet from Extreme Throttle

Here is my WBII 1200 build. Still a work in progress but I should have it done sometime this summer.
I'm using the GP760 midshaft to get the motor as far back as possible to minimize the nose heavy feel. Also installing the trim system from a Raider to keep the nose up. I have a nice collection of aftermarket parts so it should be about as fast as a WBII gets.

Not sure if this post is still running but im in Australia and im looking for a YD-SC 14/20 prop for my B2 triple?
I am running a 13/19 and its still too small.

I don't care about speed. This is for surf riding and I prefer the bigger hull. Just want more acceleration.

Also, I picked up a 95 Waveraider 1100 with a really clean motor. Compression is 120 across all (3) cylinders. It runs great but I am tempted to replace the crank seals while the engine is out. I know the engine has never been disassembled because all bolts still have the factory paint. I don't have a good feel for how long OEM crank seals last. Any opinions or thought?
No time table on them really but if the engine is out spend the extra time n bucks for the new seals for reassurance. You will need a stator cover gasket n some case sealer as well
