Other WaveRaider 700 with a 650 motor?

I have a yamaha Waveraider 700 and a superjet 650. Thinking about swapping the motors on them since I like/use the SJ more.

How would a stock waveraider 700 perform with a 650 motor installed? Would it be un-ride-able or just a little slower?

Im seriously considering doing this swap. Anyone ever done it?

I've had a 650 swapped raider. It ran fine top end just lost some holeshot. Got the job done

I should run about like a 650 wr3, slow but adequate

and I saw someone that did that did the exact same thing and he said the waveraider with the 650 ran good.

I swapped out my wave venture 701 with my superjet 650 and the wave venture runs great with the 650 in it.

The stock 17/20 prop (if so equipped) will be the biggest obstacle. My 61x/61x 701 struggled with it when I ran a raider prop in a blaster.

A guy here in town put a 650 in a WB II hull and turned it into a chopper harley looking thing with ape hangar bars.. Looked like it ran fine.

for you that have put a 650 motor in a waveraider, What exhaust setup did you use???

I used the stock 650 exhaust.

How was the exhaust hose routed with the stock 650 exhaust? I was thinking of just putting the 701 exhaust and head on the 650 motor.

Mine had a factory pipe oringinaly. Someone ran a metal pipe under motor and connected it to the rear.

Do you happen to have a picture by chance? Just trying to get an idea if I should use the 701 head and exhaust on the 650 motor. Or make the stock 650 pipe work somehow
