Waveraider 701 value

I found a waveraider 701 near me that I'm thinking about buying to part out/ use some of the parts for my SJ build. It looks to be in really nice shape. If you were going to buy one to part out, how much would you pay? Also it comes with a nice looking single place trailer.

What I'm saying is, you will be hard pressed to make much money when buying the ski @600 bucks.

Better hope you get 3-400 out of the trailer to make some $$ back

Ok thanks. Yea that's what I was thinking. $300 for trailer, $500 for motor (will make it a 61x/62t), $100 for carbs, $150 for pump, then there's other random stuff.

Well I just talked to the guy and he won't let me hear it running out of water. Says it's bad for them. Told him it's ok for them to run 10 sec out of water and he says I insulted his intelligence. Lol so much for that deal. Oh well.

I'm going to guess he never started it on the boat ramp right after riding the ski for the day. So bet there is some water in the motor. You can always do a spark and compression test. And then when he isn't looking shoot some starting fluid in the carbs lol

Use a friends phone and bring the friend. He doesn't know what you look like. Need to just get there and make an offer. Most people don't like being hounded through texts or calls just for you to decide not to come get it anyway

I used to use three cell phones on the same deals. First one to ask my questions and figure out where he is wanting to be on price, one to lowball him from the offer I already know he wants, and the third one to go meet up and make a cash offer in person. Its so funny to buy a ski from someone when doing this and they start talking about other people making offers lol. good luck with getting it, does look quite clean. Just go there and check out the ski. make an offer and say I want to do a compression check before hand and just have everything with you so he doesn't feel like you are dragging him along.

That's so funny...and smart! Im gonna try that on some of the stuff I buy. I could really use some of those parts. If i bought it for $500 I'm sure I could get my money back.

In CA I won't spend more than 600 with a single trailer because I figure trailer will get me 200 and 400 for a motor isn't bad deal
