Waveraider trim system on 144mm pump

Hi, I have an old waveraider with a Yamaha qsts trim system. I'm thinking of installing the stock Yamaha qsts trim system on another ski with a 144mm pump. Can the trim system and nozzle exit assembly (specifically the metal ring that moves the exit nozzle up and down and the nozzle itself) from a waveraider work on a pre 07 superjet 144 pump? I saw a pic of one installed on a waveblaster some where. This ski wont be used for freestyle so a performance trim system is not necessary. I also like how the nozzle can be tiled downwards and upwards with the stock trim system.

I think you need a reduction nozzle that is compatible. The nozzles that fit the trim have bosses on the sides, the pre-08 superjet nozzles with out trim have mounting bosses for the turn nozzle on top and bottom. 08+ superjet nozzles (and anything with trim) have the correct bosses, on the superjets without trim they just have a bracket that locks it in a single position.

No idea about all of the other parts you'd need, a cable and whatever mechanism is used to control the trim angle.

I've thought about doing this though, just for trim not for backflips, so I'm interested in seeing how it works out for you if you do it.

The cables and controls are easy to transfer from one ski to another. Can an 08+ sj nozzle deflector and the metal ring it mounts (the bracket you mentioned that was locked in place) to be mounted on a pre 08 sj pump ?

I believe that any reduction nozzle from a 144 sized pump fits on any 144 pump. I'm not 100% sure. Some studying of online microfiche would confirm it, if the stator section of the pump is the same part number, then nozzles should be interchangable.

I'm wondering what you have in mind for the cables and such. You'd have to cut a hold through the hull wouldn't you?

The only hole I need is in the pump area in order to get the trim cable in there. I looked at both pump exits and they both have very different designs. The question now is can the nozzle (in the picture) from an 08+ sj work with a pre 08 pump assembly?
