Waverunner to superjet compatibility

Ok tried the search and nothing so here goes.

I'm picking up a pretty cool sj freestyle hull. Bare hull. Since I'm a kawi guy I have zero yamaha parts. My plan was to get the hull and then find a donor waverunner to steal what parts I can. So my question is what can I use off of a 94 waverunner gp3. It does have the 701. Can I use the pump and electronics etc.

Should be able to use the motor, pump, electronics. You'll have to get a SJ driveshaft or send the waverunner driveshaft to Jetmaniac to have it cut down. You might have to extend the wires on the start stop switch. I'm sure others will chime in that know better than I do.

Depending on what year you SJ is, you may also need a new midshaft housing, and midshaft. Motor mounts should be the same. Alot of usable nuts and bolts.

Will need SJ waterbox, long exhaust tube, tank, handle pole/bracket, steering system,bars,steering/throttle cable,ride plate, Nose foam, etc.

The wear ring on the wr3 is different, u will have to get a different wear ring or tap the wr3 one to accept bolts

Ok sounds good I plan on running a rrp pole and factory pipe other then that I just wanted to make sure all the main stuff would work.

I know I'll also need a square midshaft and housing. Will that housing just bolt in?

This is the hull. And then I'll get the donor should be fun but cheaper then buying a new sj well maybe lol

90-93 sj used a smaller midshaft housing, 94 and newer sj and all other 701 sitdowns use the same larger midshaft housing

We used a GP 800 as our donar ski, I think it has the same wear ring as you speak of. We used stock bolts and turned them around backwards and installed nylon SS nut at the reduction nozzle side.

Does anyone have a list of skis that are interchangeable. As in what model waverunner and what about a wave raider with the 760. Pros and cons to using either or?

If it was me i would stick with the 701 platform. The 760 makes more HP and the 701 makes more TQ.

Wr3 gp,vxr pro,waveraider deluxe or wb1 for 61x 701. Waveraider 700, waveventure 700 or xl700 for 62t\62t 701. You will probably want to run 61x cylinders though
