Blaster wb1 vs wb2 vs sj

Alright, so I'm looking at a wb2 with a 701 but just kinda wondering what's the difference between a wb1 and wb2? wb2's are a little bigger correct? 2 seater friendly? Also I'm thinking of swapping 701 into my sn sj, what will transfer? Is the 701 in the wb2 the same as in sj's or what the waveraiders come with, i.e. less bottom end? And putting the 650 out of my sn sj in the wb2? Also, are the motors 760 wb2's any different than a 760 outta anything else? Would it be better to swap into my sj for freestyle use? Thanks!

760 has lower comp then a 701 and and different exhaust port also has different size bolt on exhaust manifold

You can set up the 760 to run very well but a 701 is easier

All this info is about a 64x stock 760 motor not a 62t modded to a 760

61x = 701 single carb 44 mm. Comp 145-155. M8 exhaust bolts
62t = 701 twin carb 38 mm. Comp. 145-155. M8 exhaust bolts
64x = 760 twin carb 44 mm Comp 125-135. M10 exhaust bolts

I owned the wb2 for two seasons. also bought the wb1 same time. I thought wow a wb2 with a 760 and room for 2. No not so fast. 760 pulled hard, way better than stock 701. But man did that thing porpois. check spelleing. I'm not sure but I'm thinking the wb2 in 96 or 97 came with factory trim adj. Forget the exact year but mine was yellow and following year was green. It rode too damn rough for me and beat my wife up. Sold it and bought a 95 Seadoo HX for her. if you havn't rode one yet, then buy it for the motor if you can get it cheap enough.

Hmm, well I'm also kinda buying it because I can't ride my sj cause I'm in the middle of recovering from knee surgery and was wanting something I could ride now, idk though if its that rough.

If you have a bad knee the wb1 may not be right for you as boarding one is the harder part. the wb2 is alot more stable. wb1 will also beat you up alot more than a wb2 (atleast in stock form). oh and Wb1's are awesome for a couch since you can still flatwater sub, nosestab, fountains etc and slide it around. wb2 is kinda bulky and stuck to the water. IMO they are completley different skis, except they can both corner hard and share the same name lol.

Edit: I own a wb1 and my buddy owns the wb2. both are bone stock all the way down to the intake and ride plate.

I have the b1 and the b2 the b2 is a foot longer I think. diffently easier to get on and balance. b1 is hard for two people to ride. only way i can get a passenger on is to drag them behind and they crawl on while in motion besides the kids they way less. my b2 has the 760 my b1 has a 701. my b2 kicks my b1 in its bum no comparison. b1 steers diferent too. b2 is a little wider. The misses hated the b1 for she syas the steering doesnt turn the machine fast enough. dont know why.mms_picture (10).jpg

ok newbie here. Newbie to skis too. Ive been wondering about that. why is one ski wider and longer? does the numbers on the id plate mean any thing.

I own all 3 too! The superjet is fun on when all your buddies have skis too, the waveblaster is for friends that don't have a ski but want to tag along cause it can still hang. If were going for a full on party I bring all 3 cause the ladies like to ride the big one...
