Blaster WB2 w/701.. value?

I had someone offer me a WB2 with a 701 recently installed. He said the motor ran in another ski before he did the swap a few months ago. He hooked everything up and never went to go get a new battery --- never even started it.

What we be a reasonable price for this?

Is the 701 going to make it feel like a slug?

I am looking for a cheap ski that the girlfriend can tag along on.

Thanks,
Mace

Also, the guy said he'd take 500 for it.. But my father knows he got the hull for free and the motor for 250.. So I might offer him 350 or 400 for it..

Is it worth the time?

Thanks,

He sent me a picture today..

I may go pull the trigger on it tomorrow after I put a battery in it and hear her run.

Is there anything I should look out for in a 760 to 701 conversion? He said he took the 701 from a raider.

Thanks,

I Bought a B2 for $400 with the pump out of it because of a broken pump shoe and intake grate to flip (included new parts) and found a B1 i wanted shortly after. A kid I know offered me $1000 for the B2 and knew nothing about skis... I bought the B1 and did a quick motor swap between the two and sold it to him telling him it had a 701 (didnt tell him I swapped it in there though) he still rides his B2 and said it goes good. I never got to water test it cuz I bought the B1 on a Saturday, swapped motors on Sunday and sold it to him on Monday. Only differences was the exhaust manifold bolt diameter and the exhaust mounts on the head but I was going from a 61x to a 64x... you should be fine with a 62t in there from a Waveraider (same manifold bolts and exhaust mounts on head)
Oh the electronics are different too... the 64x electronics have the stator mounted on the flywheel cover so you cant advance the timing on it and the 64x electronics retards the timing on the rear cylinder due to crank flex from the increased load of the heavier hull and bigger pump.

they don't go too bad. My buddy did a 62t701 in a gp760 and it goes just as good as a gp760.

If its a 62T raider motor I bet it goes better than the 760.

For 500 bucks I would take it and run. 350 is even better.
