Wdk f1 pro - good, bad, ugly

Hey X!
Considering picking up a carbon wdk f1 pro as I've started to out grow my superjet (power wise and challenge). The f1 seems like a good candidate but there seems to be a lack of info or review due to the rarity (I believe I've read them all).

Anyone here have personal experience on one? What does it compare to? How's it for cruising? Is the width a PIA? Anything to watch out for them? Cracking?

It's like a carbon 550. Whether that's a good or bad thing is up to you. Personally, I would steer clear.

That was a bit of my fear. I don't mind a 550 but not sure I want the same feel as a $300 550 hull. Would like the expense to go to something more favourable

I think it depends on what you want to do with it. F1/Fx1 can be a lot of fun

Love my F1pro and all of my Fx1's. Most people will tell you they are too hard to ride or not very fun. Kind of just depends what you are looking to do with it.

I sure miss mine I know that. Fun all around ski when setup properly. Capable flatwater and surf riding hull. Prob won't do you any favors in making you look like a better rider. Very sensitive to rider input. Light, loose, skim board type feel. So nimble compared to a SJ or anything else really. Takes some getting use to.... but when you do ooooh mann.. titties! I did have put a lot of work into mine to get it where I liked it. Such a rare hull. Only a few carbon ones exist and to my knowledge they're all setup a little different drivetrain wise. Mix of fx1 and sj driveshaft/ midshaft combos. Mine rode a little too nose down so adding static trim made a world of difference. Hard to say what you'd be getting into but if the $ is right and you like a challenge go for it.

@hornedogg79 's description just motivated me to work on my Tom21 FX1 build this weekend! They are sweet hulls!

@naticen is currently building a WDK F1 pro....I think are both on the same build timeline....they will be done by 2020 lol.

If you set it up properly and learn to truly ride it, you'll be ruined for all of these sheet of plywood wide stable aftermarket hulls. I think the only down side is that everything else will feel like a sitdown with a handkepole.
